Lahore: Punjab's Provincial Minister for Minerals, Sher Ali Gorchani, has confirmed the discovery of significant gold reserves in Attock. According to reports, the reserves contain an estimated 2.8 million tolas of gold, valued at approximately 8 trillion PKR in the international market.
The minister stated that the Geological Survey of Pakistan has been assisting in the exploration of these reserves. The project has been underway for the past year, with further verification of the reserves’ value set to be conducted with the help of NESPAK and other firms.
This discovery could hold substantial economic potential for the region and the country.
